The WIB-Seattle partnered with CoMotion at the University of Washington to host a LinkedIn Masterclass designed to empower students as they transition from college to career. The event featured an outstanding lineup of speakers and panelists who shared actionable insights on building a strong LinkedIn presence, engaging with recruiters, and leveraging the platform to create professional opportunities. Moderator Elena Sinclair, Founder and CEO of FlexPoint Bio, guided the discussion with speakers Dorian Varga, Director of Corporate Relations at the University of Washington; Samantha Lewandowski, MSHR, Director of HR & Administration at EngageCXD; and Duru Tasman, PhD student in bioengineering at the University of Washington. Key takeaways highlighted that LinkedIn profiles serve as dynamic digital resumes, careers are built through meaningful relationships, thoughtful communication with recruiters makes a difference, and success on LinkedIn comes from consistency in connecting and engaging. WIB-Seattle extended gratitude to volunteer Hinal Gajjar for hosting the check-in table and to all students, panelists, and community members who made the event a success in helping prepare the next generation of life science leaders to step confidently into their careers.
