On July 23, WIB-Seattle welcomed members, colleagues, and friends from across the Seattle life sciences and biotech community for our annual Summer Social at the beautiful CoLabs @ 222 Fifth rooftop. Against the backdrop of stunning Space Needle views and a perfect summer evening, attendees gathered to celebrate community, strengthen existing relationships, and build new connections across the region's thriving life sciences ecosystem. The evening featured networking, light bites, refreshments, and plenty of opportunities for meaningful conversations in a relaxed atmosphere designed to bring people together.
One of the things that makes the WIB-Seattle Summer Social so special is the diversity of people it brings together. From students and early-career professionals to experienced leaders, entrepreneurs, researchers, and industry partners, the event created opportunities to connect across organizations, disciplines, and career stages. Whether attendees were reconnecting with familiar faces or meeting someone for the first time, the evening reflected the collaborative spirit that defines Seattle's life sciences community.
This year's Summer Social would not have been possible without the generosity of our hosts and sponsors. We extend our sincere thanks to CoLabs @ 222 Fifth for providing such an incredible venue and creating the perfect setting for an evening of networking and celebration. We also gratefully acknowledge Blue Tide Quality Partners for their sponsorship and support of this event.
We are equally grateful for the ongoing support of our chapter sponsors. During the evening, attendees heard remarks from Sahar Ansari of Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) and Jacqueline Ritchie of Syneos Health, who shared what supporting Women In Bio means to their organizations and why investing in community is so important. Their partnership helps make it possible for WIB-Seattle to continue delivering meaningful programming throughout the year.
This event also would not have been possible without the dedication of our volunteers and WIB-Seattle Leadership Team. From planning logistics and coordinating registrations to welcoming attendees and ensuring everything ran smoothly throughout the evening, their time, energy, and commitment made the Summer Social a tremendous success. Their efforts continue to strengthen our chapter and create opportunities for professional growth, leadership, and meaningful connections across Seattle's life sciences community.
Most importantly, thank you to everyone who joined us. Your enthusiasm, conversations, and willingness to connect with one another are what make WIB-Seattle such a vibrant and welcoming community. Every new introduction, shared experience, and professional connection helps advance our mission of supporting women and all who champion diversity, leadership, and innovation in the life sciences. We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming WIB-Seattle events as we continue creating opportunities to learn, connect, and grow together. Until next time, thank you for making the 2026 Summer Social one to remember!
