On Friday, July 31, WIB-Seattle welcomed 24 Seattle Tech Week attendees for a morning Coffee Walk & Talk through South Lake Union. The event began at 203°F Coffee Co., where participants gathered over coffee before heading out for a relaxed walk through one of Seattle’s most active technology and life sciences neighborhoods. With a cool breeze coming off Lake Union, attendees made their way from the coffee shop to the Electric Boat Company and back, connecting with new people and continuing conversations along the route. The walk concluded with a lap around Lake Union Park. As participants finished the last of their drinks, many also wrapped up conversations that had started earlier in the morning—or exchanged contact information so those conversations could continue beyond the event.
The Coffee Walk & Talk offered an approachable alternative to traditional networking events. Without a formal agenda or structured programming, participants had the opportunity to meet people across organizations, industries, and career stages while enjoying a summer morning along the waterfront. Thank you to everyone who joined WIB-Seattle and helped make the event such a welcoming and energizing part of Seattle Tech Week. We were thrilled to create another opportunity for members of Seattle’s technology, healthcare, biotechnology, and life sciences communities to connect.
