The WIB-Seattle Summer Social 2025 was a truly special evening filled with energy, enthusiasm, and connections. In the heart of downtown Seattle, professionals from across the life sciences community celebrated the season and strengthened the bonds that continue to drive Women In Bio’s mission forward. Guests were welcomed into the fantastic rooftop space to mingle and enjoy the view of the city. “It is so great to be out in the summer sunshine with WIB colleagues,” said Cristin Gordon-Maclean from Pfizer, capturing the joyful spirit of the evening. Teresa Bonilla Zuniga, a scientist from Seattle Children’s, added, “This is my first time in such a big social, and I loved the vibe. With everything going on in the bio industry, it’s nice to have people to talk to and find community.”
It was especially inspiring to see long-time members reconnecting and new faces introduced to our growing network. Moments like these remind us of the power of coming together, not only to network and share knowledge, but to uplift and support one another in our professional and personal journeys. This event came to life thanks to the vision and leadership of Melissa DeFrancesco, WIB-Seattle Programs Chair, and the dedicated volunteers on the Programs Committee. Their thoughtful planning, creative energy, and attention to detail shaped every element — from seamless registration and engaging activities to the inviting atmosphere.
Our heartfelt thanks also go out to the sponsors who helped make the evening shine, including our venue sponsor Ulysis Rivera at CoLabs @ 222 Fifth | Lincoln Property Company for generously providing the beautiful event space and beverage sponsor Kimberly Piira at Talking Rain Beverage Co for supplying refreshing beverages. We’re so grateful to everyone who attended and contributed to making the Summer Social a success. Whether this was your first WIB event or one of many, your presence helped make it memorable.
At Women In Bio Seattle, we remain committed to creating inclusive spaces where women in the life sciences can grow, lead, and thrive. We can’t wait to see you at our upcoming events as we continue to build momentum and foster a vibrant, supportive community here in Seattle. Stay connected. Stay inspired. Stay involved.
