YWIB-Seattle: Empowering Future STEM Leaders at Girl Scout Camp

May 24, 2025

On May 24, Young Women In Bio Seattle joined forces with the Girl Scouts for an inspiring day of science, learning, and leadership! Over 50 Girl Scouts participated in hands-on workshops where they learned about hands-only CPR, Stop the Bleed, and the fundamentals of DNA. The activities not only sparked curiosity but also built confidence and essential life-saving skills. Special thanks to our incredible Young Women In Bio volunteers, Tarini Rapelly and Shivani Jayaprakasam, who led the workshops and brought science to life for these enthusiastic young minds. We’re so proud to support the next generation of scientists, innovators, and leaders through events like this.
