We’re delighted to announce that Sukhwinder Schaeffer has joined the WIB-Seattle leadership team as Co-Vice Chair of the Sponsorship Committee!
Sukhwinder Schaeffer, Sponsorship Committee Co-Vice Chair
Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Sukhwinder earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where she developed a strong foundation in biomedical sciences. Early in her career, she contributed to the Regenerative Medicine Program at Advocate Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center, deepening her commitment to improving patient outcomes and expanding her understanding of oncology and immunotherapy. Currently, Sukhwinder is part of the Lyell Immunopharma team focusing on advancing cell therapies to deliver better outcomes for patients battling cancer. Her work is driven by a deep passion for making a difference in patients' lives. She brings strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to every project.
Since joining the WIB-Seattle Sponsorship Committee, Sukhwinder has been the key chapter sponsors' main point of contact. Her proactive approach and exceptional initiative have been instrumental in maintaining strong relationships with current sponsors and exploring potential partnerships. Her dedication and passion for WIB’s mission have significantly impacted our chapter, including securing the renewal of a Partner-level sponsor. In her new leadership role, Sukhwinder will continue to bring her collaborative spirit and strategic insight to support WIB-Seattle’s mission of empowering women in the life sciences.
