WIB-Seattle is pleased to welcome Tarul Kode and Kelsey Lynch to our Steering Committee!

Tarul Kode, Co-Vice Chair of the DEI Committee

Dr. Tarul Kode is a dynamic executive leader, board member, advisor, strategist, and angel investor with over twenty years of trailblazing accomplishments in consulting, partnerships, and enterprise growth within the healthcare ecosystem. In her role at Loud VC, she builds community and connections around purpose-driven alternative investing, rooted in multidisciplinary collaboration and action. She is passionate about affecting meaningful change at the intersection of healthcare equity, technology, and values-driven leadership. Tarul holds a Doctorate in Pharmacy (cum laude), completed Harvard Medical School’s Executive Global Health Care Leaders Program (cohort 1), and the VC University program through Berkeley Law/NVCA/Venture Forward. As co-founder of Ellipsis Healthcare Leadership, she propels early-stage companies forward to scale and transform human-centered care while also serving as a board member and advisor for several pioneering healthcare, healthcare-tech, and non-profit organizations.

Kelsey Lynch, Co-Vice Chair of the DEI Committee

Dr. Kelsey Lynch is a biomedical research scientist and passionate STEM advocate with extensive experience in research, mentoring, and community engagement. With a PhD in molecular and cellular biology from the University of Washington and postdoctoral training at the Fred Hutch Cancer Center, Dr. Lynch has contributed to discoveries in genome replication and DNA virus biology and developed next-generation CAR T-cell therapy. Beyond the lab, Dr. Lynch actively fosters inclusivity and curiosity in STEM fields by mentoring undergraduate and high school teachers, organizing science outreach events, and representing her employer at community programs in Seattle. Her leadership in STEM outreach includes roles in DE&I initiatives, planning science workshops for young women, and volunteering at science centers to inspire the next generation of scientists. She looks forward to supporting more women in science through her new position as vice chair of the Seattle Women In Bio DEI Committee in 2025.
