WIB-Seattle

WIB-Seattle is pleased to welcome Sanghavi Mayooran and Eleonora Juarez to our Steering Committee!

Sanghavi Mayooran, Vice-Chair of the Membership Committee

WIB-Seattle is excited to introduce Sanghavi Mayooran as the new Vice-Chair of Membership for WIB-Seattle! As a recent addition to the chapter, she mentioned that she has already experienced the impact of WIB's extensive support. Sanghavi looks forward to contributing to the growth and success of the chapter, ensuring that everyone feels the same welcoming and encouraging environment she has encountered. Sanghavi is a recent MSc graduate in stem cell & regenerative medicine, and her area of interest is neuronal degradation and mesenchymal differentiation pathways. She has also actively created and mentored bio-focused communities during her undergraduate years, where she helped build networks among her peers. Now, she is excited to bring those experiences to this new role. She enjoys rollerblading (and teaching it) and attempting new baking recipes in her free time.

Eleonora Juarez, Vice-Chair of the Communications Committee

We are delighted to welcome Eleonora (Ellie) Juarez, PhD, as Vice Chair of the Communications Committee. Ellie brings a proven track record of impactful work with non-profits, particularly those focused on championing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the STEM field.

Ellie is currently the Market Segment Manager for Oncology at Oxford Nanopore Technologies, where she leads the development of strategic initiatives and market growth for cutting-edge genomic assays. Throughout her career, Ellie has been a dedicated advocate for DEI in STEM, using her platform to influence positive change and support underrepresented groups in science and technology.
Ellie’s passion for driving inclusive initiatives and professional experience aligns perfectly with our mission at Women In Bio. She is excited to bring her expertise in creating effective communication strategies to our organization. As a board member, Ellie will continue to champion DEI in STEM and support our goal of empowering and advancing women in the life sciences.

Please join us in welcoming Ellie to the board!
