YWIB-San Diego: Career Panel

The YWIB (Young Women In Bio) Career Panel was about inspiring and educating young women who are passionate about science and biotech. Held at Ionis Pharmaceuticals in Carlsbad, the event brought together an incredible panel of professionals eager to share their career journeys, insights, and advice. The evening kicked off with a networking session where students got to connect with leaders from YWIB, Scientella, Aroga, and Ionis. After some welcoming remarks from our sponsors, we jumped right into the panel discussion, led by a student moderator who asked thoughtful questions from a student leader’s perspective. Then, it was time for an engaging Q&A, where attendees got to ask their own questions directly to the panelists. Everyone gathered for a networking dinner to wrap up the night, giving students more opportunities to connect and gain insights. With 40 attendees, the event was a huge success—students walked away inspired and excited for their future in STEM!
