EWIB-Capital Region: Personal and Corporate Money Management for Executives and Aspiring Executives

On April 18, 2024, Executive Women In Bio Capital Region hosted a webinar to provide financial educational information for executives and aspiring executives. EWIB Committee Chair Nao Gamo introduced presenters Adam Band and Kimberly Kirk from Merrill Lynch. Kim discussed the different retirement plans such as 401K, Solo 401K, SEP IRA, Roth 401K, Roth IRA, and Roth conversion when changing companies and retirement plans. Adam discussed various aspects of estate planning such as the annual gift exclusion, lifetime gift exclusion, looming sunsetting of the current lifetime gift exclusion on Jan 1, 2026, 529 plan contributions, public company stock ownership and 10b5-1 planning, private company stock ownership and 83B (election), ISOs, and NSOs.
