Our Women In Bio Seattle team had an incredible time on August 9, riding, walking, and running in support of groundbreaking cancer research. We joined a sea of orange as more than 5,000 cyclists, walkers, runners, and volunteers came together for Obliteride, Fred Hutch Cancer Center’s annual community event. The day was filled with inspiration, connection, and hope — a powerful reminder of what’s possible when we unite for a cause. The team created a short video to share our stories and motivation for supporting cancer research. Many of us work in life science and medicine, where we see firsthand the challenges of cancer — and the profound impact of research breakthroughs on saving lives. Our efforts were dedicated to everyone whose lives have been touched by this disease.
We’re proud to have raised funds for Fred Hutch’s life-saving work and are deeply grateful to our generous donors, whose support helped us nearly double our original fundraising goal. Learn more here.
