We are pleased to share that the Chapter Vice Chair Selection Committee has selected Sadie Josephs as our new Chapter Vice Chair!

Sadie Josephs, Chapter Vice Chair

Sadie has already made a strong impact as our Chapter Treasurer, bringing passion, dedication, and a strategic mindset to everything she does. She is a clinical affairs and program management professional with over 13 years of experience in regulated medical device development and commercialization, particularly in class II/III devices and molecular in vitro diagnostics. Sadie is deeply committed to translating innovative science and technology into real-world solutions. Her recent MBA experience deepened her understanding of the connection between technology development, finance, and operations, an interest that grew from her own operational background. Notably, she also served as board chair for her sorority’s local chapter at the University of Washington, overseeing a $1M+ operating budget, and currently serves on the board for a local music education non-profit organization. Sadie’s enthusiasm for the Vice Chair role comes from her desire to continue contributing to Women In Bio’s mission while building on her leadership experience to support our chapter and the broader Seattle life science community. Welcome Sadie!

Welcome Lili Bahrami as the new Vice Chair of Young Women In Bio (YWIB), Seattle Chapter!

Lili Bahrami, Vice Chair of YWIB

Lili first joined YWIB Seattle in 2020 as the Communications Chair and has continued to make a lasting impact by serving for the past two years as the National YWIB Social Media Chair. Her dedication to mentoring and working with high school ambassadors over the last five years has been a true passion, and she’s thrilled to now contribute again at the local level. Professionally, Lili is a Sales Specialist for the Pacific Northwest and Mountain States, focused on providing affordable benchtop lab automation solutions. A proud Seattle native, she’s passionate about giving back to her community and empowering the next generation of women in STEM. Please join us in celebrating Lili’s new role with YWIB Seattle!
