WIB@BIO 2026 Executive Breakfast: Sparking Greatness – Leading Through Inspiration

The Executive Women In Bio (EWIB) Breakfast at BIO 2026 brought together biotech leaders for an inspiring discussion on leading through uncertainty and fostering innovation. As one of the kickoff events to BIO 2026, the event was organized by WIB-San Diego and intentionally designed to create an energizing and inspirational atmosphere before attendees embarked on a busy week of conference sessions, partnering meetings, and networking. The EWIB Breakfast supported Women In Bio's mission by engaging women leaders through meaningful networking, educating attendees with practical leadership insights from accomplished executives, and empowering them with actionable strategies to lead with confidence, inspire their teams, and advance innovation throughout the life sciences. Following breakfast, executive coach and author Danielle Baldwin delivered a thought-provoking keynote highlighting the distinction between inspiration and motivation, encouraging leaders to intentionally create environments where individuals and teams can thrive.

Danielle then moderated a panel featuring Stacy Amity Feld (Johnson & Johnson), Sabrina Martucci Johnson (Daré Bioscience), Nancy Hong (H.I.T. Venture Capital), and Karen West (Syneos Health). Together, they shared practical leadership insights on motivating teams, navigating complexity, driving innovation, and advancing commercialization across the biotech industry.

Participants were highly engaged during the discussion on fostering resilient, high-performing teams and appreciated the practical, real-world leadership advice shared by executives from diverse sectors of the biotech industry. The networking session and book signing also generated meaningful conversations and new professional connections.

One particularly meaningful moment was Danielle Baldwin's keynote, where she challenged attendees to view inspiration as an intentional leadership practice rather than something that happens by chance.
