WIB-Capital Region: Summer Social

WIB-Capital Region hosted a summer social at Han Spot in Gaithersburg on Wednesday, July 29, and it was a great evening of connection and conversation! The sold-out event brought together women from across the Capital Region for a chance to catch up with familiar faces and meet new ones. “There were smiles all around at our Women In Bio Capital Region Summer Social this week,” shared Teri Ngo, one of the chapter Co-Chairs.

We know networking events can sometimes feel intimidating, but that’s not the vibe at WIB-Capital Region. We’re all about creating a welcoming space where members and newcomers alike can connect, chat, and build relationships. “A perfect balance of mingle & chit chat for everyone, which was complemented by the gorgeous weather. Glad I made it out to catch up with some good friends, and meet a few new faces,” said Alexandra Bezilla, WIB-Capital Region YWIB Committee Associate. We were happy to see these amazing women taking time to establish their personal and career development

One of the best parts of the evening was seeing so many incredible women prioritize connection, personal growth, and career development. In a world where our schedules are often packed, taking the time to build relationships and learn from one another is an investment that pays dividends far beyond a single event. Whether attendees reconnected with familiar faces or met someone new, these conversations help strengthen the supportive community that makes Women In Bio so special.
