YWIB-Philadelphia Metro at STEM Fest Philly 2025

August 14, 2025

On August 14, Philadelphia came alive with science, creativity, and community as students and families gathered at Girard College for STEM Fest Philly 2025, hosted by OIC of America and CADI. The event brought together hundreds of young learners—from Pre-K through 12th grade—for a day of hands-on discovery and exploration. Exhibitors and educators from across the region showcased the many faces of STEM. YWIB-Philadelphia Metro member Theresa Austria hosted an experiment to show the kids how diet affects the locomotion of fruit fly larvae. Other activities included building paper rockets and exploring zebrafish under microscopes. More than just a festival, STEM Fest Philly represents a deep commitment to access, representation, and opportunity.
