On April 25, WIB-Los Angeles partnered with Dahlia Consulting to host an intimate luncheon for 20 women leaders in the life sciences space. The goal was to connect, empower, and spark conversations around the challenges and opportunities shaping LA’s biotech scene.
The luncheon began with a warm welcome and opening remarks from Neely Kasra of Dahlia Consulting, who spoke about the vital role executive women play in driving progress within the local biotech ecosystem. Gina Ford of WIB-National followed with an introduction to Women In Bio and its continued commitment to supporting the growth of life sciences in the region. Gul Dusi from JLL then provided a comprehensive overview of the current biotech landscape in Los Angeles, highlighting major challenges, how real estate infrastructure aligns with startup needs, and where critical gaps remain.
The keynote remarks sparked a lively, open discussion among attendees, focused on actionable steps to strengthen the community and move the industry forward. By the end of the luncheon, everyone walked away inspired and ready to collaborate and take meaningful steps to unify and grow LA’s biotech future.
