WIB-Los Angeles and UCLA recently teamed up to host a panel discussion on opportunities for small businesses and translational researchers. The event brought together an incredible lineup of innovators, including Sheryl Flynn, PT, PhD (Blue Marble Health Co.), Sadaf Pustchi (Sage Cerebrovascular Diagnostic), Karen Wu (Lucerna, Inc.), and Karen Reue (David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA).
With around 60 attendees in the room, the discussion covered the key steps to turning academic research into real-world products—everything from securing funding to finding the right resources. After the panel, guests had the chance to network and connect.
