WIB-Greater Boston: Michelle Johnson Spotlight and Networking, October 26, 2023

On October 26, 2023, WIB-Greater Boston hosted a casual, engaging chat with Michelle Johnson, CEO of Metrum Research Group. During registration, attendees grabbed some light bites and refreshments in preparation for the moderated discussion led by Kerrie Julian of Margulies Perruzzi Architects (MPA), our venue hosts. Michelle talked through her unique career path to earn a spot in the C-suite of a successful life science company.

Michelle covered what motivates her and how her responsibilities have changed since she became a CEO. While sharing the story of her incredible career path, she noted the position of a leader often chooses you instead of vice-versa. Her story emphasized that it's okay to take risks, especially if you surround yourself with a supportive group of colleagues, friends, and family. Due to Michelle's approachable nature, most of the conversation was free-flowing, with almost half the audience asking questions and contributing to the discussion. It was a really engaging conversation, and most of the attendees stayed afterward to network, enjoying the shockingly warm October weather on the beautiful rooftop of MPA's offices.
