On December 5, 2025, WIB-Greater Boston hosted a festive gathering at Portal Innovations Southline Labs in Dorchester to network, celebrate the holiday season, and reflect on a year of remarkable achievements. Chapter Chair Lisa Hillman kicked off the event by highlighting the chapter’s incredible progress over the past year. Attendees also enjoyed inspiring remarks from the event’s sponsors. This year was a testament to the power of empowering women in the biotech industry. Collaborations with organizations like the Women’s Foundation of Boston and Science Club for Girls reinforced the importance of cultivating a passion for STEM from an early age. Adding to the evening’s excitement, the band Supernova—composed of scientists from Alexion Pharmaceuticals—filled the air with music, creating the perfect backdrop for networking and reconnecting with peers in the industry.
