On February 25, WIB-Los Angeles partnered with Nucleate to host a discussion featuring LA leaders who shared their stories of launching and scaling their companies by leveraging resources in Los Angeles and beyond. About 100 attendees met at BioLabs at The Lundquist Institute to network before and after the main program, creating an energizing environment for founders, students, and industry professionals. The panel, moderated by Jared Cristobal of Nucleate LA, showcased three distinguished founders—Joseph Alzagatti, CEO and Founder of Endogold; David Stover, CEO and Founder of NAMMI Therapeutics; and Shelby Yacezko, CEO and Founder of FU Cancer. Each speaker touched on challenges unique to early-stage science-backed startups and the resources available across the LA ecosystem. A key theme echoed throughout the discussion was the importance of deeply believing in your company—its mission, its potential, and the impact it aims to have. The combination of rich insights and meaningful relationship-building made the evening both instructive and inspirational for anyone navigating the biotech startup journey.
