WIB-Los Angeles: LA Venture Voices – Sharing Stories of Growth and Investment

The successes and challenges of biotech founders and investors were the topic of our panel discussion on October 24, 2024, at the Huntington Medical Research Institute in Pasadena. Panelists Leen Kawas, Debbie Lin, Jane Liu, and Shenda Baker delved into the basics of institutional venture funding strategies from pre-seed to Series B/C, dilutive vs non-dilutive funding, and insights on crafting pitches that catch investor attention. Moderator Bassil Dahiyat encouraged them to unveil valuable advice for founders on networking and securing funding to extend their runway.
