On Thursday, December 14, 2023, the WIB-Southern California chapter brought together around 80 members and guests at the Los Angeles Holiday Party at Deloitte downtown. After the networking reception, we heard welcoming remarks from Erika von Euw and Lauren Bradley with WIB-Southern California, followed by sponsor remarks from Nicole Cordonnier, Partner, Life Sciences and Healthcare at Deloitte & Touche, Rosie Procopio, Audit & Assurance Partner, Life Sciences, Healthcare, and Public Sector Leader, Deloitte & Touche LLP, and Meg Elias, VP of Clinical Operations at Arcutis Biotherapeutics. In addition to celebrating the growing WIB community in Los Angeles, we partnered with Create Now to host a toy/art supplies drive. Create Now is a nonprofit organization based in Los Angeles with the mission to empower youth and young adults from ages 3 to 24 through various arts programs in multiple disciplines that help them heal and thrive. Deloitte and Arcutis Biotherapeutics, Inc. sponsored the event.
