The September 25 panel event, Smarter Drug Discovery – The Role of AI in Tomorrow’s Therapies, took place at Kilroy Realty Corporation in South San Francisco and brought together 120 attendees for an incredibly engaging and inspiring evening. A heartfelt thank you to Kamayani Gupta, Amee Kapadia, Devleena Shivakumar, Rabia Khan, and Stacie Calad-Thomson for generously sharing their knowledge and expertise, and to Kilroy Realty Corporation for the warm hospitality and beautiful space.
Attendees shared glowing feedback: “The panel was really well moderated, the speakers were excellent, and the room was full of brilliant women of all ages and fields." Another reflected, “I’m motivated to have more conversations with AI experts to better understand how I can apply this fascinating tool to my research. Excited to keep learning and building bridges between wet lab biology and machine learning!” Others noted, “Thank you for an evening of enriching discussions and delicious refreshments in a beautiful space! This was my first WIB event, and I was impressed" and “What a great experience! A packed house and a panel of brilliant women. I’m learning as much as I can about the topic, and I walked away with more knowledge than I had before.”
The evening closed with one attendee summing it up perfectly: “What an incredible and diverse panel to learn from on AI’s potential to transform early discovery, translational biology, and ultimately patient impact… What an incredible evening exploring AI and drug discovery. Huge thanks to the organizers and speakers for creating such a collaborative space to learn and connect. I’m feeling inspired and excited to be a better partner across the industry!”
