WIB-Greater Boston: 11th Annual Lobster Pot Pitch Event

March 25, 2026

The 11th Annual Lobster Pot Pitch was a major success, drawing over 150 attendees to a Shark Tank–style showcase of women founders in life sciences. Founders delivered focused, high-impact pitches and received practical, strategic feedback from an expert VC panel, generating immediate follow-ups and new connections.

  • Dr. Tatiana Blanchard (Laurel Biotherapeutics) outlined a precision biologics strategy for cardiorenal disease, leveraging targeted nanobody therapeutics to restore protective signaling pathways.
  • Dr. Astrid Margossian (Multiomics Inc.) presented Liquid Mammo®, an AI-driven small‑RNA blood test aiming to replace painful mammograms for early breast cancer detection—with reported >90% sensitivity/specificity and exclusive biobank access.
  • Dr. Chelsea Trengrove (Neoclease) highlighted a novel approach to gene editing using generative AI to design gene‑specific editors, advancing a Parkinson’s‑focused LRRK2 program with rapid in‑vitro validation and foundational IP.
  • Dr. Claire Zeng (DoriNano) showcased DNA‑origami nanodelivery platforms powering immunotherapies and gene therapies, backed by high‑impact publications, industry collaborations, and a clinical collaboration for DoriVac‑101.

The investor panel—Jenna Aronson, Lauren Mifflin, Marian Nakada, and Stella Paffenholz—offered detailed guidance on slide polish, fundraising readiness, differentiation strategy, go‑to‑market and IND priorities, and partnership pathways. Their critiques turned each pitch into a mentorship moment, prompting several follow‑ups and introductions by the night’s end.

Beyond the stage, the event fostered robust networking and collaboration. Attendees praised the quality of conversation, the supportive atmosphere, and the practical takeaways that will accelerate company progress. We look forward to building on this momentum and continuing to create high‑impact forums where women founders and investors connect, learn, and scale.
