On July 16, WIB-Greater Boston and BioMed Realty held a Summer Social in the heart of Kendall Square. The event's purpose was to provide an opportunity for scientists, particularly those working in the Cambridge area, to build their network with other women in the biotech industry. We were fortunate to have a diverse crowd of about 200 attendees, representing 100 different companies and numerous scientists. Due to the heat, we needed to pivot the location from the beer garden to the indoor space—we appreciate everyone's flexibility! All enjoyed the chance to meet other supportive women in the industry.
