YWIB-Connecticut & Junior Achievement: Careers in STEM, November 9, 2023

On November 9, 2023, Young Women In Bio Connecticut partnered with Junior Achievement of Southwest New England to host a new symposium highlighting career opportunities in the life sciences and beyond. Approximately 150 students from five high schools in the greater New Haven region spent the school day being inspired and motivated to consider careers in STEM. Presenters included representatives from Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU) Innovation Hub, Arvinas, BioCT, Connecticut Science Center, Yale New Haven Health, and Regional Water Authority. Speakers included Jodie Gillon, President and CEO of BioCT; Dr. Elizabeth Lewis Roberts, Interim Associate Dean – STEM at SCSU; and Joshua Kelly, Education Manager at Junior Achievement of Southwest New England.
