Rain or shine, WIB-Chicago’s Jazz Festival Potluck brought the warmth. Not even a light drizzle could dampen the spirits of WIB-Chicago members, families, and guests who gathered at Millennium Park for an evening of music, connection, and community on Friday, August 29. From 7-month-olds to toddlers and adults, the crowd was diverse and full of energy. The event kicked off with a warm welcome and time to connect, followed by a stunning concert featuring jazz legends Patricia Barber and Monty Alexander. The music provided the perfect backdrop for a memorable night of bonding and celebration as everyone rang in the long weekend together. Whether it was the shared snacks, the soulful tunes, or the joy of being together, the WIB-Chicago potluck proved once again that community thrives—even under cloudy skies.
