WIB-Chicago, CHIentist, & CGSA: Summer Career Fair, June 27, 2024

On June 27, 2024, Women In Bio Chicago collaborated with CHIentist and the Chicago Graduate Student Association to hold a summer career fair. The evening kicked off with a networking session where attendees from various sectors of the life sciences industry mingled, and photographers were available to take professional headshots. Representatives from leading companies in the Chicagoland area set up booths, providing valuable insights and discussing potential collaborations with eager participants. Some of the companies that were present were Portal Innovations, HappiLabs, and Momentum Staffing. Following the networking session, the event transitioned into a series of workshops designed to equip attendees with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the life sciences field. Topics ranged from the latest advancements in biotechnology to career development strategies, ensuring there was something for everyone, from seasoned professionals to aspiring students. 

Overall, the event was a resounding success, leaving participants inspired and better equipped to pursue their goals in the life sciences sector. The collaboration between WIB-Chicago, @CHIentist, the Chicago Graduate Student Association, and leading industry companies showcased the strength and potential of the Chicagoland life sciences community.
