WIB-San Francisco Bay Area: Transforming Drug Discovery – How AI/ML are Changing the Game

The WIB-San Francisco Bay Area September panel event discussed how companies are integrating artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) with traditional experimental methods in the R&D process. Dr. Kristina Green moderated the discussion with expert insights from Dr. Ashley Zehnder (Fauna Bio), Dr. Avantika Lal (Genentech), Dr. Christin Glorioso (NeuroAge Therapeutics), and Dr. Lauren Schiff (BigHat Biosciences). The panelists promoted various strategies that can be used to ensure that biologists understand the processes involved in deep learning and that the ML scientists understand the relevance of the biological phenotypes or readouts to fully and effectively leverage AI/ML methodologies. We extend our sincere thanks to Insitro for hosting this amazing event.
