On August 6, our amazing WIB-Chicago volunteer leaders got together for our annual summer leadership retreat. It was such a fun chance to step away from the usual day-to-day, catch up with each other, and celebrate all the STEMtastic work our volunteer leaders have done over the past year. Since the retreat was just for our volunteers, we got to spend some quality time together in a smaller, more relaxed setting. We shared team updates, enjoyed some delicious food, networked, took lots of fun pictures, and talked about ways we can keep working together and making a difference. It was such a great day, and our volunteers really appreciated having a chance to connect and celebrate together. We also gave each volunteer leader a beautiful gift as a little thank-you for all the time, energy, and heart they’ve poured into WIB-Chicago. We’re so lucky to have such an incredible group of volunteers who give so much of themselves to public service!
