MAPS-Pittsburgh: Mentoring Circles Wrap-up & Career Spotlight – Behind the Hire
Join us as we celebrate the successful close of the 2025–2026 Mentoring Circles Program! Over the past six months, the program has brought together small, thoughtfully matched groups of mentors and mentees across career stages—from students to seasoned professionals in academia and industry. Participants committed just one hour per month to engage in meaningful conversations around professional growth, navigating transitions, balancing work and life, and promoting women in science and business.
We’ll kick off the evening with a celebration of the program, recognizing the collective growth and connections built over the past six months. Certificates of participation will be presented to both mentees and mentors in appreciation of their commitment and contributions. Then, enjoy a special panel featuring recruiters and industry professionals. Rather than a traditional panel, this session is designed to be intimate and conversational, giving attendees the chance to directly engage with panelists and ask questions in a more personal setting. The discussion will cover topics such as what recruiters and hiring teams look for in candidates, how interviews are evaluated behind the scenes, and how to navigate and thrive in the biotech job market. This is a valuable opportunity to gain candid insights, build connections, and better understand how to position yourself for your next career step.
