WIB-Chicago: Monthly Book Club – August 2026
Join us for our monthly virtual book club, designed to foster discussion, professional growth, and community across the Chicagoland life sciences.
Our August book selection is Range: Why Generalists Triumph in a Specialized World by David Epstein.
This session will explore how creativity and innovation are often driven by breadth, curiosity, and cross-disciplinary thinking. Range challenges the idea that early specialization is the only path to success, offering insights that resonate strongly with careers in science, biotech, and leadership. The discussion will focus on how diverse experiences, experimentation, and nonlinear paths can fuel better problem-solving, innovation, and professional growth.
