WIB-Chicago: Monthly Book Club – June 2026
Join us for our monthly virtual book club, designed to foster discussion, professional growth, and community across the Chicagoland life sciences.
Our June book selection is Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood
For June, we’ll shift to a fun, lighter summer theme while still engaging with big ideas at the intersection of science and society. Oryx and Crake imagines a near future shaped by genetic engineering, corporate-controlled science, and ethical tradeoffs in biotech innovation. Through satire and storytelling, the novel raises timely questions about scientific responsibility, commercialization, and unintended consequences.
