Speaker Bio
Marwa Afifi, PhD, Assistant Professor at Georgetown University
Dr. Afifi is an Assistant Professor at Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, where she leads a translational cancer research program focused on targeted therapies for solid tumors, with an emphasis on pancreatic and oral cancers. As a clinical pathologist and independent investigator, her work integrates tissue-based pathology, spatial biology, immune profiling, and therapeutic development to understand how the tumor microenvironment shapes treatment response and resistance.
