Kimberly Gasuad, CEO & Founder of JK Life Sciences
Kimberly founded JK Life Sciences LLC, where she advises software as a medical device and AI/ML companies on strategic business, product, marketing, and commercial strategies. She’s an executive leader with over 20 years of experience in the life sciences and healthcare industry. Most recently, she sits on the board of directors for Zaya AI and has recently worked at Ibex Medical Analytics as the SVP of Business Development & Strategy, where she established global industry expertise and key strategic relationships. She draws upon her expertise working at fortune 500 companies including Novartis, McKesson and Roche. Kimberly received her BSc in biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and completed her MBA at the University of San Francisco. She currently lives in San Francisco but also resides in Chicago and Hawaii.
Kamayani Gupta, Co-Founder of KAMI Think Tank, Moderator
Kamayani is the co-founder of KAMI Think Tank, an AI research organization in the healthcare life sciences. She has been in the life sciences area for the past 14 years and uses data-centric approaches to optimize complex business processes. Over the past decade, she has enjoyed working with new technologies to reduce redundant workflows and biases in the drug discovery to commercialization pipeline. She was one of the first members of Watson for Drug Discovery and the former Head of HCLS R&D at Slalom.
Caroline Hoffman, MD, CMO at Owkin
Caroline is CMO at Owkin, an AI-Biotech. She is a medical doctor specialized in oncology, with a PhD in immunology. She did a 3-year fellowship at the European Hospital Georges Pompidou and worked for 7 years as a senior physician in head and neck surgical oncology at the Institut Curie in France. Regarding translational research, she earned a PhD in the INSERM Unit U932, Institut Curie, and did a postdoc at City of Hope Cancer Center, CA, USA, with a special interest in tumor immunology and dendritic cells, and single-cell transcriptomics. She has been the PI and co-PI of several clinical trials and has led the ancillary research program of a neoadjuvant preoperative immunotherapy trial using single-cell and spatial proteomics and transcriptomics technologies. She joined Owkin 3 years ago and has been leading the Oncology programs and strategy, notably the creation of the world's largest Spatial transcriptomics atlas in cancer, MOSAIC. As a CMO, she is now fully dedicated to Owkin’s mission: using AI and the right patient data to unlock complex biology and find the right treatment for every patient.
Lara Murray, Senior Translational Science Lead at PathAI
Lara is a Senior Translational Science Lead at PathAI, where she leads collaborations with biopharma partners and academic researchers to advance translational applications of AI in oncology and liver disease. In her role, she focuses on bridging cutting-edge computational methods with real-world pathology challenges, helping accelerate insights that drive drug development and patient care. Prior to joining PathAI, Lara earned her PhD in chemistry from Tufts University, where her research centered on developing point-of-care diagnostic tools.
Stephanie Oestreich, Managing Director of the Myeloma Investment Fund, Moderator
Stephanie is Managing Director of the Myeloma Investment Fund (MIF) and is the chair of the McCloy Alumni Association. She is also on the faculty of MIT, a member of SpringBoard Ventures, an advisor at grIP Venture Studio, to Biognosys (a Bruker company), Invitris, the CART company CelineTx, and to the drug development and investment company OrangeGrove Bio. Previously, she was Chief Business Officer at Galecto, Vice President at cell therapy company Mnemo Therapeutics, a Venture Partner at RA Capital, and Executive Vice President at Evotec, where she built its North American investment arm and started an incubator with Samsara BioCapital. She also worked as an international business leader at F. Roche Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd. and for Novartis in business development and commercial. Stephanie conducted the research for her PhD in biochemistry in the lab of a Nobel Prize winner at Harvard Medical School and obtained an MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School.
Jessica Pan, MPH, Global Outreach for SandboxAQ
Jessica is a global techno-optimist at the vanguard of AI and quantum. Raised in Shanghai and Taiwan before spending her formative years in Silicon Valley, her worldview was shaped at the intersection of science, technology, and social impact. Trained in cell biology and epidemiology, she built her career at the frontlines of healthcare. She led clinical research at UCSF and Columbia, drove global market access at Alcon, and advised ophthalmic and digital health startups before expanding into venture and business strategy. With a proven track record in cross-cultural fluency, international business, and public-private partnerships, she bridges healthcare and frontier technologies to drive transformative global change. As a key member of SandboxAQ’s Global Outreach team, she leverages her extensive international and healthcare experience to help steward a mission-driven company solving humanity’s most complex challenges.
