YWIB-Seattle: Cancer Drug Discovery Panel and Hands-On Lab With Fred Hutch
Partnering with Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, this YWIB-Seattle event is an exciting opportunity for students to learn more about the exciting area of cancer drug research and discovery! With Fred Hutch's research facility and employees, we are hosting an event open to ALL 9th–12th grade students interested in cancer research. Fred Hutch is preparing a panel of amazing researchers from their organization. Panelists will discuss and answer questions about their jobs, education, experiences, and more! Students will then have an opportunity to ask their own questions during the Q&A. Finally, we'll end the event with a hands-on lab activity hosted by Fred Hutch. Come learn more about this exciting area of research happening right in our backyard!
Notes: This is a drop-off event. Closed-toe shoes are required. Students must have a signed Fred Hutch Consent Form to participate. Minors (under 18) need to have a parent/guardian signature on this form as well. Parents/guardians can also sign in person when their student is checking in.
