Jenny Cronin, PhD, Principal at AI2 Incubator
Jenny Cronin is a Principal at the AI2 Incubator, a pre-seed startup incubator, where she focuses on startups at the intersection of AI and biotech or healthcare. Prior to joining AI2, Jenny was a product manager at NanoString, leading their GeoMx Digital Spatial Profiler antibody portfolio, and a science communications advisor at a boutique PR firm working with early-stage biotech clients. Jenny received her PhD in bioengineering from UW with research on brain-computer interfaces for touch restoration.
Ke Du, MBA, Senior Product Manager at Apple, Moderator
As a Product Manager at Apple, Ke is passionate about the intersection between humanity and technology. As a moderator at GirlUp Entrepreneurs, Ke is passionate about entrepreneurship and women's empowerment. Part-time, she is a career coach, a dancer, and a blogger who writes about careers, life, and everything in between.
Ann K. Novakowski, MPH, Associate Director, Governance Innovation at Sage Bionetworks
As the Associate Director of Governance Innovation at Sage Bionetworks, Ann supports the organization's mission to accelerate biomedical research and improve human health through responsible data stewardship. She has contributed to critical data-sharing initiatives across partnerships with NIH, pharmaceutical companies, and other research leaders. In her role, Ann aims to empower researchers through responsible data use. She ensures Sage's data-sharing efforts uphold global privacy and ethical standards to protect research participants while promoting scientific discovery for social good. She enjoys bridging policy and technology to drive innovative collaborations. A transformational leader with over a decade of experience, Ann previously facilitated access to cancer therapies in over 60 low and middle-income countries. She applies her background in operational excellence and global health program leadership to advance Sage Bionetworks' mission.
Stephanie Simmons, Director of Regulatory Affairs & Risk Management at Microsoft
Stephanie advises interdisciplinary teams working at the intersection of healthcare, life sciences, and AI/ML in Health Futures at Microsoft Research, with a mission of empowering every person on the planet to live a healthier future. She co-leads the responsible AI program for Health Futures and collaborates with policy experts to shape the future of AI regulation in medicine. Stephanie is a licensed attorney with over 20 years of experience in private practice, as in-house counsel, and as a business leader, guiding research and incubation teams through complex legal and regulatory issues in emerging technology areas. Outside of work, Steph enjoys time with her three sons and practicing yoga.
