EWIB-San Francisco Bay Area Executive Roundtable: Teams, Leadership, and Difficult Conversations

Join us for our next Executive Roundtable. This session focuses on hiring and difficult conversations, and we’d love for you to attend to engage with peers and share your tips, tools, and experiences. Barbara Troupin will lead this topic, with support from Executive Women In Bio San Francisco Bay Area members.
The roundtables are designed as peer-to-peer discussions, allowing participants to share experiences, best practices, and resources. In addition to the main topic-based conversation, we will have topic-based breakout rooms and 1:1 networking opportunities.

Speaker Bio
Barbara Troupin, MD, MBA
Barbara is a fractional Chief Medical Officer working for several early-stage biotech/therapeutics, digital health, and device companies, guiding teams on portfolio strategy, development and regulatory planning and engagement, fundraising, and stage-appropriate company growth. She also sits as an Independent Director on the Board of Equillium Bio (NASDAQ: EQ). Over her 20+ years as a life science executive, her roles have spanned clinical, medical, regulatory, operations, and strategy functional areas, and she has worked at both private and public companies.
Barbara first joined WIB in 2008 to help build a professional network after moving to San Francisco from San Diego. She has been a volunteer mentor in MAPS, a participant leader with YWIB-San Francisco Bay Area and Executive Women In Bio (EWIB), and participated in WIB-National’s Boardroom Ready program in 2019. She holds an MD from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business. She is broadly curious, an avid connector, and values relationships where mutual learning and growth occur.
