The phrase "having it all" generally refers to the idea of achieving a well-rounded and fulfilling life that encompasses various aspects such as career success, personal happiness, fulfilling relationships, financial stability, and a sense of personal accomplishment. It suggests a state where one simultaneously feels satisfied in multiple areas of life. However, the concept of "having it all" can vary greatly depending on individual perspectives and priorities. For some, it might mean excelling in their career while maintaining a happy family life. For others, it could involve achieving personal goals, having strong social connections, or enjoying good health and well-being.

Speaker Bios
Jula Inrig, MD, Chief Medical Officer at Travere Therapeutics
Dr. Jula Inrig joined Travere Therapeutics in January 2022 as the company’s Chief Medical Officer. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing the company’s medical functions, clinical development, clinical operations, as well as drug safety/pharmacovigilance. She brings to Travere more than 15 years of expertise in medical oversight, drug development, clinical trial planning and execution as well as global regulatory engagement. At Travere, she has overseen the successful approval and launch of Filspari for patients with IGA nephropathy. Prior to joining Travere, Dr. Inrig served as global head of the Renal Center of Excellence at IQVIA. While at IQVIA, she was instrumental in the design, execution, and strategy of clinical trials leading to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and European Medicines Agency (EMA) approvals in autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) and diabetic kidney disease. She was also responsible for the execution of more than 45 clinical trials across 50 countries, enrolling over 25,000 patients, including pivotal phase 3 trials in FSGS, IgAN, and lupus nephritis. In addition to her roles at IQVIA, Dr. Inrig served as an inaugural member of the board for the Kidney Health Initiative, a public-private partnership with the FDA, founded with the goal of improving the development of therapies for patients with kidney disease. Dr. Inrig has also served in advisory roles for national societies and their guidelines, including the American Society of Nephrology, the National Kidney Foundation, and the American Heart Association. Dr. Inrig has been recognized by PharmaVOICE magazine as one of the 100 Most Inspiring People in the life sciences industry and by the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association as a Luminary award winner. She is board-certified in nephrology and internal medicine and serves on the faculty at the University of California, Irvine, and as an adjunct in the Department of Medicine at the Duke University School of Medicine. Dr. Inrig received her MD from Loma Linda University, completed her internal medicine residency and nephrology fellowship, and obtained a Master of Health Science at Duke University. Dr. Inrig holds an undergraduate degree from California State University, Sacramento.
Kristina Manvelian, Regulatory Strategy Leader at Vividion Therapeutics
With over 13 years of experience in the San Diego pharmaceutical sector, Kristina Manvelian is currently a regulatory strategy leader at Vividion Therapeutics, a subsidiary of Bayer AG focused on developing precision therapeutics for devastating cancers and immune disorders. Vividion leverages novel discovery technologies to unlock previously undruggable targets. Kristina began her career by holding several positions in project management and clinical operations at Parexel, where she contributed to the development of a new service line for early-stage drug development. Her career has spanned pre-clinical development through commercialization, encompassing clinical development and operations, and regulatory affairs. She has a proven track record of working effectively with diverse management teams across San Diego, navigating multiple acquisitions.
Shruti Sasaki, Assistant Director at Ionis Pharmaceuticals Moderator
Dr. Shruti Sasaki is an Assistant Director in the Biomarker Research group at Ionis Pharmaceuticals. Shruti completed her PhD in Biochemistry at UW Madison. A few months later, she started her career in industry as a postdoctoral fellow in drug discovery research at Ionis in 2016. She transitioned to a Senior Scientist role as a founding member of the Translational Medicine group in 2018, which later joined with the Biomarker group in 2023. In addition to her focus on her role, in her time at Ionis she has developed a passion for creating a supportive environment for other parents and women in the workplace. This is exemplified through her participation in the Ionis mentor program and her leadership roles in two employee resource groups (ERGs): the empowHER Women's ERG and The Parent Network ERG. She was recognized for these contributions as a Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association Rising Star award winner in 2023. She also served on the WIB SoCal steering committee in 2017 and 2018 and the Board of Directors of the Oligonucleotide Therapeutics Society (2017-2018), through which she was able to establish mechanisms for networking, mentorship, and career support for early-career scientists both in academia and industry.
Jennifer Winward, PhD, Founder and CEO of Winward Academy
Dr. Jennifer Winward earned her PhD with a dual emphasis in neuroscience and developmental neuropsychology from the University of California, San Diego. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and graduated summa cum laude (top 1%) with highest distinction honors. She is a distinguished teaching professor at UCSD, a renowned 20-year veteran of high school tutoring, and the founder and CEO of Winward Academy. Dr. Winward has been widely recognized for her academic success, published research, and service efforts with awards from the President of the United States, the California State Assembly, Rotary International, the Marin County School Administrator Association, the American Psychological Association, and the National Science Foundation. She has been honored as San Diego’s most influential education leader, as Top 40 Under 40 in San Diego, as Top 35 Under 35 nationally, and as a Top 5 Female Entrepreneur in IT. She was featured in Forbes to provide the top tips for success in college applications and in Entrepreneur as a prominent leader in US education. She was also selected as a Top 20 Most Dynamic CEO of 2020 for the unparalleled support she and Winward Academy provided to families during school closures.
