Speaker Bios
Jennifer Bailey, Senior Communications Business Partner at CSL Seqirus, Moderator
Jennifer joined CSL Seqirus as the Senior Communications Business partner for the Holly Springs site, responsible for enhancing the company’s reputation in the local community and highlighting the site’s role in the manufacture of seasonal influenza vaccines and pandemic preparedness. A senior communications professional, Jen previously led Communications and External Affairs at Pyxus International, a global agricultural company. Prior to that, she held a number of leadership roles at public Relations and media agencies based in the NC Research Triangle Area. Jen has a Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication (Public Relations) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Kelli Collin, Senior Vice President of Quality at Shattuck Labs
Kelli has been serving in this role since January 2021. Previously, she was the Executive Director of Quality Assurance at Liquidia Technologies, leading the quality department for GMP, GCP, and GLP operations. She has over 20 years of experience in quality assurance, covering all aspects of the pharmaceutical product lifecycle. Her professional and academic credentials include a bachelor’s in biological engineering and a master's in bioinformatics from North Carolina State University. In addition, she holds a master's in business administration with a concentration in supply chain management from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She holds a graduate certificate in pharmaceutical & medical device law and compliance from Seton Hall Law School. She is certified by the American Society for Quality as a Certified Quality Manager/Operational Excellence (CMQOE) and a Certified Pharmaceutical GMP Professional (CPGMPP). She has served the Raleigh section of ASQ as the Membership Chair, Scholarship Chair, and Section Chair.
Maria Lacourt Cuevas, Head of Project Management Office and Operational Governance at CSL Sequirus
Maria started her career as a manufacturing associate with Johnson & Johnson, Puerto Rico, in 1997. After supporting tech transfer projects of parenteral and biological products, she joined Wyeth (Pfizer) Carolina, PR facility in 2003 as a fill finish supervisor responsible for the manufacture of lyophilized antibiotic products. During her time at Pfizer, Maria held several roles of increasing responsibilities, including Manager of Operations and Site Quality Head. In 2012, Maria joined Amgen, Juncos PR campus as the QA Director of the fill finish facilities. Maria joined Alcami, North Carolina in November 2019 as the Operations Director. Maria holds a BS in biology from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus.
Brittany Shriver, Head of Life Sciences Industry Consulting at SAS
Brittany is a dynamic leader currently serving as Head of Life Sciences Industry Consulting at SAS. Prior to joining SAS, she worked in the pharma and CRO sectors, where she honed her skills in strategy, operations, pre-sales, and data management. This comprehensive experience has equipped her with a wealth of expertise and a deep understanding of the entire life sciences value chain. A graduate of North Carolina State University with a degree in biological sciences and business management, Brittany is a strategic thinker and results-oriented leader. She has a proven track record of designing innovative solutions, driving operational excellence, and fostering collaboration across diverse teams. Brittany is passionate about supporting women in business and STEM, having navigated the challenges of being a younger female leader in the life sciences and technology industries.
