Just as immense pressure transforms carbon into diamonds, women in the life sciences have overcome challenges that shape them into resilient, influential leaders. Following the screening, join us for a thought-provoking panel discussion on navigating and thriving in the industry. This cross-industry conversation will explore the challenges and successes of women breaking barriers in technical and leadership roles, offering insights and inspiration for the next generation of trailblazers.

Speaker Bios
Lisa Conway, Chief Revenue Officer at Gen Phoenix
Lisa serves as Chief Revenue Officer for Gen Phoenix, a company that rescues leather offcuts from leather tanneries to make next-generation materials. Having spent the majority of her career selling circular and low carbon (even carbon storing) products at Interface, she joined Gen Phoenix in 2024 for one simple reason – she believes the widespread adoption of their materials will result in a massive reduction in GHG emissions. She knows how to help customers achieve their carbon reduction goals and believes deeply in the importance of Gen Phoenix’s circularity mission. She holds a BS from Drexel University and a Certificate in Sustainability Leadership from Harvard’s School of Public Health. She also chairs the board of the non-profit Building Transparency, which houses the EC3 Tool.
Yasemin Kologlu, Senior Fellow at Architecture 2030
Yasemin Kologlu is the President of the Consortium for Sustainable Urbanization (CSU), a Senior Fellow with Architecture 2030, and a recognized leader in building design and construction. She has 20+ years of experience in the design and implementation of innovative and net zero energy/carbon strategies. She has proven expertise in sustainability policy/strategy to generate scalable solutions for net zero carbon developments and businesses. As an expert in sustainability and climate change, she serves on juries and advisory boards shaping low carbon/energy practices and policies across New York and nationally. She is the co-chair of AIA’s Committee on the Environment in New York and a founding board member of MEP2040. She holds a BArch degree from Cornell University, a Master’s Level Certificate from London Metropolitan University, and is finishing her Executive MBA at IE and Brown University.
Amanda Purdy, PhD, Associate Chief Academic Officer and Director of Postdoctoral and Graduate Student Programs at Fox Chase Cancer Center, Moderator
Amanda is a scientist and educator dedicated to cultivating enthusiasm for scientific discovery. With a strong foundation in research, she earned her bachelor's degree in genetics and cell biology from the University of Minnesota and a PhD in cell biology from the University of Colorado. After completing her doctoral studies, Amanda specialized in immunology at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Northeast Philadelphia. Throughout her career, Amanda has been committed to fostering the development of junior scientists and clinicians through experiential and didactic programming. Her work emphasizes building essential skills in communication, mentorship, leadership, and scientific literacy. In her current role as Associate Chief Academic Officer and Director of Postdoctoral and Graduate Student Programs at Fox Chase Cancer Center, Amanda oversees the creation, implementation, and evaluation of training initiatives designed to support the next generation of scientists. Her leadership ensures that trainees gain the knowledge and skills necessary for success in both research and clinical careers.
Soha St. Juste, AIA, LEED AP, Principal, Architecture & Design Leader at Fifteen
Soha is a passionate industry leader, mentor, and distinguished architect whose award-winning designs span a wide range of project types, including cutting-edge science and technology research and manufacturing facilities, campus master-planning strategies, higher education buildings, and corporate facilities. Soha brings an inclusive and collaborative team-based approach to her projects, resulting in spaces that elevate, inspire, and center around sustainability and wellness. Soha’s portfolio is comprised of over 30 architectural projects totaling more than five million square feet. Working closely with her clients, her projects have created environments that encourage discovery and facilitate innovation for multiple Fortune 500 companies in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and materials science industries, as well as some of the top universities in the region.
Leslie Weaver, Sustainability Engineer at Integrated Project Services (IPS)
Leslie has been working in the built environment for over seven years. She began her career as a Sustainability Engineer with a large construction management company, where she worked on both LEED v3 and LEED v4 projects. In 2022, Leslie advanced to the role of Sustainability Project Manager at Integrated Project Services (IPS). In this role, she collaborates with design, construction, and commissioning teams to implement sustainability best practices, company-wide initiatives, and client sustainability standards. Leslie holds credentials as a LEED AP BD+C, WELL AP, and LFA. Additionally, she is an active member of the Sustainable Construction Leaders Peer Network Group, where she shares best practices, advocates for sustainable construction, and collaborates with other industry leaders to inspire positive change and combat climate change.
