We are excited to welcome you to the 2025 Women in Bio 3.8 Initiative and officially offer you a seat in this year’s cohort. We have enjoyed getting to know you during the application and interview process and look forward to collaborating with you this year. The program team is committed to delivering a startup board readiness program that assists you in educating yourself, preparing your board materials, and building your network as a part of the 3.8 Community as you consider start-up board opportunities.  

You join a program with over thirty impressive graduates and a track record of success that is being implemented nationally by Women In Bio.

Acceptance Requirements:

• Accept participation as a member of the 2025 WIB-Chicago 3.8 Initiative Cohort.
• Applicants must be Women In Bio members as of January 2025 (or join no later than February 7, 2025)

Time Commitment:

• Between February and October 2025, participants will be expected to participate in twice monthly 1-hour virtual meetings and at least one quarterly on-site (Chicago) meeting.
  • The first monthly session will deliver educational content from subject matter experts. 
  • The second monthly session will focus on personal and professional development.
  • Both sessions are required and will be offered virtually.
  • Additional events and opportunities for networking with start-up companies will be available throughout the duration of the program, and attendance is encouraged.
  • In-person attendance at the March 11, 2025, 3.8 Initiative Launch Event (required).

Cost:

• $250 - includes the 3.8 Initiative Program and materials (payment due upon acceptance)
