Speaker Bio
Tracy A. Laxton, MSW, LCSW-C, Owner and Chief Operations Officer of Tidemark Intervention Services
Tracy Laxton acquired her master's from the Catholic University of America and has worked with youth and families since starting her career in 2007. With her background in case management and counseling, Tracy began supporting youth in Baltimore County by implementing prevention education and therapeutic interventions. She has an extensive resume of evidence-based practice facilitation, including clinical research and quality assurance, as well as program development. In this capacity, she has been able to gain the knowledge to implement prevention services as well as clinic-based, community-based, and school-based therapy programs to support and educate at-risk youth and encourage the implementation of healthy behaviors. Tidemark Interventions Services (TIS) was established in 2017 to address the observable and measurable gap in services in the southeast Baltimore County community. TIS is a Maryland State licensed Outpatient Mental Health Center and Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program for Adults and Minors. Her agency aspires to be a community organization with increased community involvement through collaboration with other agencies, schools, and the development of prevention services. The TIS team includes over 50 employees, including therapists, prescribers, administrative support, and community-based workers.
