Sumalatha Bachu, Sr. Director in Technology at FINRA

Sumalatha has a master's degree in information technology from the University of Maryland.  She wore many hats throughout her career and has diversified experience driving innovation, building multi-functional high-performing teams, cultivating a culture of continuous learning, and aligning with business needs. She’s a subject matter expert and has led teams in several technology operations areas. In addition to serving as a Co-Vice Chair of Programs for Women In Bio Capital Region, Sumalatha also volunteers as a board member of ScienceMONTGOMERY, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting STEM and education to middle and high school students, which includes hosting the annual Montgomery Area County Science Fair.  She is committed to empowering the next generation of scientists and engineers by creating opportunities for hands-on research, mentorship, and academic growth.
