MAPS-Capital Region: Trailblazing the Future – A Young Innovator's Journey Into Biotech and Beyond
Zaara Ahmed, though still a high school student, represents the next generation of leaders in the biotech industry. Her unique perspective, marked by a blend of academic achievements, hands-on experience in internships at nonprofits, and a keen interest in biotech investments, makes her an inspiring figure for both young women entering the field and seasoned professionals alike. Zaara's experience is far from typical for someone her age. She has already engaged with angel investors, giving her a rare insight into the financial underpinnings of biotech ventures. Additionally, her leadership role in cybersecurity and her knowledge of emerging technologies give her a fresh perspective on the implications of these advancements for the biotech industry. She developed a honey pot for a cybersecurity firm as an intern and presented her research to NASA.
